Wärtsilä signs five-year FSRU support agreement with Pardus Energy

Wärtsilä has signed a five-year lifecycle agreement with Pardus Energy covering the maintenance and operational support of the Türkiye-flagged floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) Turquoise P. The agreement is intended to improve maintenance predictability, support long-term reliability and prepare the vessel for major overhaul events during the contract period.
Operating as a stationary FSRU at the ETKI LNG terminal in Aliağa, Türkiye, Turquoise P plays a key role in regional gas-supply infrastructure. Because of the vessel's strategic function, unplanned downtime can have significant operational and commercial implications, making maintenance planning and equipment availability a priority.
Under the agreement, Wärtsilä will provide dedicated contract management, maintenance planning and access to original equipment manufacturer spare parts. The arrangement is designed to support maintenance readiness while improving cost predictability and helping the operator prepare for scheduled 36,000-hour and 48,000-hour overhaul programmes.
Osman Kolay, head of LNGC/FSRU operations at Pardus Energy, said: “Reliable operations and careful maintenance planning are essential for FSRU vessels. This agreement gives us a clear long-term framework for managing key maintenance activities, securing OEM spare parts and preparing for the planned 36K and 48K overhauls with greater confidence."
The vessel entered service in 2019 and is equipped with Wärtsilä machinery and systems. Wärtsilä said the agreement would help ensure that installed equipment is maintained in optimum operating condition throughout its lifecycle.
Henrik Wilhelms, director, Agreement Sales, Wärtsilä Marine, said the arrangement would provide greater certainty over the long-term management of a critical energy asset by combining OEM expertise, maintenance planning and spare-parts support. The agreement took effect in April 2026 and was booked by Wärtsilä during the second quarter of the year.
