The 205m ConRo vessel Trica, operated by Transfennica Ltd, has completed scheduled maintenance at Turku Repair Yard, part of BLRT Repair Yards. The vessel has since returned to its Baltic Sea routes linking continental Europe, Estonia, and Finland.

A ConRo design combines container stacking with roll-on/roll-off operations, making Trica an important workhorse for mixed cargo. The recent yard stay involved targeted maintenance to ensure its continued safe and efficient operation under demanding trading conditions.

Works included checks on structural elements and systems supporting cargo handling and manoeuvrability. The yard reported that tasks were completed on time, allowing the vessel to return swiftly to service.

Transfennica, a member of the Spliethoff Group, deploys Trica on intensive schedules across northern Europe. Ships of this type provide logistical flexibility by handling both wheeled and containerised cargo, playing a key role in short-sea shipping.

Turku Repair Yard continues to handle a broad mix of Baltic trade vessels. While the company did not release full details of the technical work, it noted the focus remained on operational reliability, with particular emphasis on ensuring the ship could withstand the challenging conditions of its regular routes.
