Sulzer will supply water-injection pump packages for Petrobras’ P-84 and P-85 FPSOs under construction by Seatrium. The scope includes integrated skids with three BB5 9.5 MW water-injection pumps, two BB1 660-kW booster pumps and two BB2 850-kW seawater booster pumps, delivered fully tested with motors, couplings and controls.

Bruno Antoniassi, senior manager of Sales and Application Engineering at Sulzer Brazil, said: “Sulzer is proud to again collaborate with Petrobras and Seatrium … this latest order demonstrates our worldwide supply chain cooperation and engineering capacity.”

Manufacture, assembly and full-power testing will take place in Brazil before transfer of the units to shipyards in Brazil, China and Singapore. Sulzer will assist with installation, commissioning and integration tests, and provide long-term support after the vessels enter service.

The FPSOs will operate in the Atapu and Sépia fields about 200 km off Rio de Janeiro. Each will have capacity to produce 225,000 barrels of oil per day and process 10 million m3 gas daily. Improved efficiency technologies are expected to reduce emissions intensity. Delivery of the pump packages is scheduled for early 2026, with advanced testing underway.
