Shipyard Reimerswaal has purchased a second floating dock to increase capacity at its facilities. The dock, with a length overall of 168m, will be able to handle vessels of up to 18,000 tonnes and a maximum beam of 28m.

Delivery is expected by the end of this year, with commissioning scheduled for spring 2026. Once operational, the addition will allow the yard to accommodate a wider range of repair and conversion projects.

The investment marks a significant expansion for the Dutch yard, which services vessels operating in regional and international trades. In addition to docking, Shipyard Reimerswaal carries out repair, mobilisation, and steel fabrication work.

The new floating dock will complement existing capacity, enabling more flexible scheduling and reducing turnaround times for clients. Yard management noted that the expansion will strengthen its competitive position in the regional market for ship repair and conversion.

Located in the province of Zeeland, Shipyard Reimerswaal operates both afloat and drydock repair services, with facilities capable of handling a variety of vessel types. The company has not disclosed the value of the investment.
