The Liberia-flagged Seaboard Ocean has completed a maintenance and overhaul programme at German Ship Repair Jamaica (GSRJ) in Kingston.
The 143.83m-long container vessel, managed by Hartmann Group, underwent docking, general servicing, blasting and painting, valve overhauls, tail shaft and rudder clearance checks, and anchor chain calibration.
The works form part of ongoing efforts to support vessel operators in the Caribbean, where shiprepair capacity is limited. GSRJ said it continues to focus on delivering consistent service quality despite regional challenges.
The yard indicated that the project reflects its broader objective of strengthening Jamaica’s shiprepair capability and positioning Kingston as a viable regional maintenance hub.
By completing a full scope of mechanical and structural works within a single docking period, the yard aimed to reduce turnaround time and improve service reliability for operators trading in the region.
GSRJ said the successful completion of the Seaboard Ocean project demonstrates its ability to handle complex maintenance programmes and provide vessel owners with a dependable alternative to yards outside the Caribbean.
