The refrigerated cargo vessel Cool Eagle has completed a major maintenance programme that included extensive repainting, equipment testing and mechanical works ahead of its return to global service.
The ISM-managed vessel, operated by Japan’s Kowa Marine Service Co., underwent a full paint job together with load testing of her cranes and lifeboat davits. Piping works were carried out across several onboard systems, and the ship’s propeller was polished to improve efficiency and fuel performance. The works were designed to ensure operational reliability and readiness for the vessel’s next trading period.
The Cool Eagle, built in 2021, is a modern refrigerated cargo carrier designed to transport temperature-sensitive goods at ultra-low temperatures down to -30°C. Built to handle a broad range of frozen and chilled cargoes such as seafood, meat and premium produce, the ship is among the most advanced reefers currently in service.
Following completion of the maintenance programme, Cool Eagle has resumed operations on international trade routes. The vessel’s management team said the works would enhance efficiency and maintain high performance standards as demand for refrigerated transport continues to grow across global markets.
