The Netherlands-flagged gas carrier Coral Medusa, operated by Anthony Veder, has completed a scheduled docking at Orskov Yard in Frederikshavn. The project combined routine maintenance with a gassing-up operation to prepare the vessel for its next cargo, allowing it to return to service without delay.
Orskov coordinated the final yard work and gas-up in parallel, a practice the yard says reduces turnaround time for owners. The company reported that established procedures, controlled work areas and cooperation with local partners enabled the safe handling of the gas operation simultaneously with the remaining repairs.
Orskov noted that having both docking and gassing-up carried out at the same facility offers owners a more efficient sequence for LNG and LPG carriers, as preparation for loading can be completed immediately before departure.
The yard thanked project manager Frank Moerman and Anthony Veder for their continued cooperation. The Coral Medusa is a regular caller at Orskov, contributing to a long-running relationship between the yard and the Dutch operator.
