Huafeng Shipyard completes LPG carrier BW Njord repair in 15 days

A complicated overhaul completed in just over a fortnight (Source: BW Group)

Huafeng Shipyard has completed repair works on the Liberia-flagged LPG carrier BW Njord in just 15 days. The Singapore-operated vessel, built in 2016 in South Korea, arrived at the yard on February 23rd and departed on March 10th.
The yard reported that major works included an overhaul of the dual-fuel main engine, replacement of key engine components, maintenance of machinery, cargo compressor repairs, structural steel renewal, hull painting, and standard drydock inspections.
The development demonstrates Huafeng’s growing expertise in LPG and LNG vessel repairs, as well as clean-energy ship projects. Efficient planning and close coordination with the vessel’s crew enabled completion of complex and time-sensitive repairs within the tight timeframe. BW Njord is expected to support future projects in the LPG and LNG segments.
