Greece’s ONEX Elefsis shipyard completes transformation of RoRo Clementine into Blue Carrier 2 for new Greek owners
Resurgent Greek ship repairer ONEX Elefsis Shipyard has successfully completed the transformation of the freight RoRo Clementine into Blue Carrier 2 for the vessel’s new owners, Greece’s Blue Star Ferries, part of the Attica Group.
Blue Carrier 2 entered service on March 22nd with Hellenic Coastal Shipping on the Piraeus-Samos (Vathi)-Kos-Rhodes route. The RoRo vessel was built in 1998 for owner CLdN and can carry 2,307 lanemetres of vehicles, equivalent to 170 unaccompanied trailers and 458 cars.
Blue Carrier 2 is the second freight-only RoRo in the Blue Star Ferries fleet.

- Aigaion Pelagos – 2,308gt 2010-built tug/OSV, owned by Greece’s Megatugs Salvage & Towage, Perama
- Badji Mokhtar III – 49,939gt 2021-built RoPax ferry, owned by Algeria’s Algerie Ferries
- Ocean Link – 2,525gt 1978-built cable layer, owned by Denmark’s CT Offshore, Odense
