Goltens Worldwide has opened a new service workshop in Batam, Indonesia, further strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia and underlining its long-term commitment to the region’s shipowners and operators.

Located close to Singapore, Batam has grown into a strategic hub for repair, retrofits and conversions. Goltens’ new facility is equipped with advanced tooling and staffed by experienced engineers and technicians, enabling the company to deliver the same quality of service it has built over 85 years in operation.

“This new facility in Batam represents a strategic move to support our customers as the Singapore market continues to change,” said Sandeep Seth, CEO of Goltens Worldwide. “Shipowners can be confident that Goltens will continue to provide the highest quality service, now with enhanced capabilities and flexibility in Batam.”

The expansion will allow shipowners to benefit from quicker turnaround times, lower logistics costs, and access to Goltens’ range of services, from complex mechanical repairs to decarbonisation technologies.

Goltens operates from 28 locations in 15 countries, serving more than 3,700 clients annually. The new Batam workshop strengthens its ability to support vessels operating in one of the world’s busiest maritime corridors.
