Gibdock, the Gibraltar-based repair yard, has recently completed several major offshore support vessel (OSV) projects, reinforcing its position in the offshore sector. The yard has worked on Boskalis vessels including trailing hopper suction dredger Gateway, construction support vessel BOKA Southern Ocean and multipurpose vessel BOKA Fulmar. It also serviced Subsea 7’s construction/flex-lay vessel Seven Pacific and worked on Technip’s rigid pipelay ship Deep Blue.
Solstad’s anchor-handling tug supply vessel Normand Pacific is currently in dock for overhaul, signalling strong OSV demand ahead. Gibdock’s Commercial Director, John Barnard, said: “Offshore majors trust Gibdock because of our track record in delivering safe, high-quality, and on-time services at good value. We work closely with these companies to provide bespoke projects and conversions within a timeline that suits them.” He encouraged early engagement - even for projects two to three years out - to ensure tailored planning and availability.
Gibdock’s growing OSV portfolio reflects its strategic role as a trusted service hub for offshore operators. The yard, known for dry-docking, conversions, refitting and engineering projects, continues to build on its reputation for quality, safety and environmental responsibility in the offshore sector.
