Everllence and ME Production partner on scrubber maintenance planning

ME Production and Everllence have agreed on a partnership for scrubber maintenance planning. The agreement combines ME Production’s scrubber expertise with Everllence’s global service network to provide condition assessments, maintenance planning and repair support. The companies said the approach is intended to identify wear, reliability concerns and maintenance requirements before a vessel enters drydock, reducing the risk of unplanned downtime and costly follow-up repairs.
The partners noted that scrubbers have become established equipment on vessels operating with high-sulphur fuel, placing greater emphasis on reliability, regulatory compliance and effective lifecycle management. Shipowners can face challenges in assessing maintenance needs ahead of a docking, managing component wear and keeping pace with evolving regulatory requirements.
Thomas Andreassen of Everllence PrimeServ Omnicare said the initiative was designed to address those challenges before vessels leave the yard. He stated: “Nobody wants to discover six months after a drydocking that a critical component should have been inspected, repaired or replaced while the vessel was already out of service.”
ME Production’s Kim Pedersen said detailed pre-docking inspections and maintenance planning could help ensure scrubber systems remain fully operational and compliant with current requirements once vessels return to service.
The service will be delivered through Everllence’s Omnicare portfolio, which provides lifecycle support across multiple equipment brands. The companies said the collaboration is intended to help operators improve maintenance scheduling, minimise operational disruption and maintain long-term scrubber performance.
