Carnival Corporation & plc has signed a global service contract with Evac Group for preventive annual maintenance and lifecycle support of Evac systems across the cruise line’s eight brands. The agreement aims to extend equipment lifetime, improve reliability and make maintenance costs more predictable through advanced planning and harmonised procedures across the fleet.
The contract includes onboard crew training during annual visits and predefined spare part kits to reduce unplanned outages and support Carnival’s decarbonisation objectives. Vera Lannek, VP, Sourcing & Machinery Lifecycle Management, Carnival Corporation & plc, says the deal marks an important step in strategy to safeguard environmental systems’ performance and support efficient operations with smoother, more reliable onboard experiences. “By partnering with Evac as the original equipment supplier, we can leverage technology for a more proactive fleet-level approach that supports our operational and decarbonisation objectives efficiently and also help ensure a smoother, more reliable onboard experience for our guests,” she said.
Kourtney Dever, head of Cruise Service North America, Evac Group, says proactive maintenance and fleet-wide health checks will help improve reliability, predictability and efficiency. The contract reflects a continued focus on planned maintenance that reduces risk of system-related disruptions.
