Eerland Ship Repair has completed its first yacht project alongside its quay in Rotterdam, marking a new development for the yard.
The vessel, noted for its design and level of detail, was handled under a set of procedures tailored for yacht work. These included access, communication and onboard care protocols. The yard said its team carried out the operation with technical accuracy, while ensuring a clean and orderly process to meet the standards expected in this segment.
The project was completed in cooperation with the client and concluded without incident. Eerland Ship Repair said the successful operation would support plans to expand into the yacht repair and conversion market.
Future work in this sector is expected to include repairs, mobilisations, demobilisations and conversions, with the company stating it will apply the same approach to safety and reliability used in other repair projects.
The company, part of Rotterdam Ship Repair B.V., operates as a 24/7 provider of ship and engine repair services. It said the first yacht project illustrates the adaptability of its workforce as it develops its service offering across a wider range of vessel types.
