Tidewater has reported time savings of up to 60% after using UniSea’s Maindeck app to manage the drydocking of the Bahamas-flagged platform supply vessel Highland Prestige at Dales Marine Services in Aberdeen. The digital tool centralised reporting, coordination and cost tracking for the project, significantly reducing administrative workload and improving efficiency.

“This is a revolutionary application that facilitates greatly enhanced planning, coordination and execution of a drydocking project compared with traditional practice,” said Tidewater assistant operations superintendent Chris Tundogan. “By consolidating reporting and tracking into one system, the Maindeck app has reduced time-consuming administrative tasks and provided a much more efficient way to manage the workflow of multiple jobs and overall progress.”

The 2007-built vessel underwent an intermediate survey that included inspection of the hull, propellers, anodes and engines to meet class requirements before resuming decommissioning support for TAQA Bratani in the UK North Sea.

Tundogan said Maindeck’s real-time updates and automated reporting gave management clearer visibility on project status and costs. “This significantly streamlines project management with a drydocking, allowing vessels to be reactivated and returned to revenue-generating operations more quickly,” he said.
