Accelleron has signed its 50th Turbo MarineCare agreement, marking growing uptake of fixed-cost, long-term service contracts for turbochargers on two-stroke marine engines. The milestone reflects a broader shift among ship operators towards comprehensive service coverage that offers predictable costs, continuous warranty and simplified maintenance planning.
Turbo MarineCare is a service model covering labour, scheduled major overhauls and both standard and unexpected spare parts, using original Accelleron components and service specialists. The fixed-price structure applies throughout the contract period and is designed to support operators in managing maintenance budgets while maintaining turbocharger performance between overhauls.
The service is supported by digital monitoring through Accelleron’s LOREKA portal, which analyses operational data already available on board to assess equipment health and provide maintenance and optimisation recommendations. The system allows Accelleron technicians to check turbocharger condition remotely, thereby reducing the need for intermediate physical inspections.
One of the recent customers is Athens-based Laskaridis Maritime, which signed a Turbo MarineCare agreement in October. Technical manager Marios Maroulis said: “The full-cover model removes uncertainty from turbocharger maintenance, one fixed fee, original Accelleron parts, and continuous warranty backed by data-driven insights. It simplifies our planning and keeps our fleet operating reliably.”
Accelleron said the 50th contract underlines increasing demand for service models that combine digital oversight with long-term cost control.
