Dutch/Indian shipbuilding cooperation agreed

Dutch yard Royal IHC and Indian shipbuilding and fabrication company Swan Defence and Heavy Industries Limited (SDHI) have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together in building offshore construction vessels in India. The partnership will focus on the design, construction and retrofitting of offshore construction vessels, pipe-laying vessels, and multi-purpose offshore support vessels at SDHI’s shipyard located at Pipavav Port in Gujarat. Royal IHC will contribute its know-how in vessel design, engineering, mission equipment integration and project management.
