Fincantieri’s Norwegian subsidiary, Vard, has won a new contract from its existing customer, Ocean Infinity, for the design and construction of four multipurpose robotic vessels worth more than EUR 200 million.

Two of the vessels will be built at Vard’s Norwegian facilities for delivery in the first and second quarters of 2028. The other two will be built at Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam, with deliveries scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of that year.

Vard Electro will supply a complete range of SeaQ systems for remote operations. Vard Interiors will provide the interior outfit and Seaonics will supply the Launch and Recovery System, enabling the advanced handling of remotely operated vehicles and geotechnical units.
