Drawing of the ferry newbuilding

In addition to the engineering, Imtech Marine will be responsible for the technical coordination and project management for the systems in the field of e-technology, including automation, switchgear, power distribution, lighting, and the entire cable network for the RoPax ferry built for Caledonian Maritime Assets of Scottish Limited (CMAL). FSG will develop and construct the 116m-long ferry, which will enter into service in summer 2014. Imtech Marine will also plan, supply and install drive components such as converters, electric motors for thrusters and the power management, including external communication via FleetBroadband, VSAT and GMDSS as well as X-and S-band radar, ECDIS, compass and the GPS and VDR part of the navigational scope.
The second contract between FSG and Imtech Marine comprises the engineering, technical coordination, project management, supply and commissioning of the scope of e-technology, including cable networks, internal and external communications and navigation for two offshore vessels. Both units are 127m long and scheduled for delivery for 2014. They are designed for seismic operations and - in terms of efficiency, comfort, reliability and endurance -  guarantee safe operation worldwide including the Arctic regions and in the roughest weather conditions, according to the Flensburg-based shipbuilder.

The German shipyard Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (FSG), said it had signed two contracts with Imtech Marine. One contract concerns a ferry newbuilding, the other one is related to two offshore vessels.
