Two deliveries and one launch

The Amazon Warrior is an Amazon-class vessel that features the world´s first custom-built hull and propulsion system, developed exclusively for seismic operations using a WesternGeco proprietary design
With the delivery of the yard’s first special offshore seismic vessel for WesternGeco, Amazon Warrior, FSG has marked its successful entry into the global offshore sector.
Shortly after the delivery, the second offshore vessel, Amazon Conqueror, was launched.
Both vessels are 127m long and will be the largest vessels in WesternGeco’s fleet.
They are said to satisfy the most stringent demands in regards to efficiency, comfort, reliability and endurance and guarantee safe operation throughout the world, including arctic conditions. Each ship is equipped with 76 single cabins, rooms for leisure and communal activities and a computer centre. For seismic operations, different types of cable streamers are used to measure seabed data.
Prior to the launch and delivery of the two WesternGeco vessels, FSG had delivered the Rolldock Storm to the Dutch company RollDock BV.
Rolldock Storm and its sister vessel Rolldock Star, in service since January, are 151.5m-long, multi-functional, specialised ships designed to transport challenging, heavy loads that do not fit traditional cargo transport moulds. According to their builder, both vessels offer maximal flexibility and a range of different loading possibilities. Two heavy-duty cranes move cargo weighing up to 700 tonnes. In addition, the ships are equipped with height-adjustable stern ramps and hatch covers making them adaptable to port piers of differing heights.
As a result, individual loads weighing up to 3,000 tonnes can be on- or offloaded in classical RoRo mode.
The 8,000-dwt ships can be submerged more than 6m to permit cargo being floated in or out.
