Technical launch of new Costa cruise ship

With a length of 306m and a beam of 37.2m, the 132,500 gt vessel offers space for 4,947 passengers in 1,862 guest cabins.
On 20 decks, Costa Diadema provides various entertainment, shopping, sports and gastronomic facilities.
The Costa Diadema is to reach a speed of 23 knots on a draught of 8.3m, by means of two propulsion units achieving an output of 21,000 kW each. It is classed by RINA. Upon its delivery in October 2014, the cruise ship will be deployed on a one-week itinerary, calling at the ports of Rome, Florence, Savona, Marseille, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Civitavecchia and La Spezia.

The future flagship of Costa Cruises, Costa Diadema, was recently launched at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy.
