Singapore-based Strategic Marine has won a deal to build a new high-speed crew transfer vessel designed by Aircat for Malaysia’s fast crew boat operator, Centus Marine Sdn Bhd. The new personnel transfer vessel, based on the proven AIRCAT 35 Crewliner platform, will be designed to achieve exceptional speeds exceeding 50 knots while ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers during transit.

The vessel’s advanced capabilities are tailored to enhance operational efficiency for offshore oil and gas platforms, where quick and reliable crew transfers are critical to efficient operations. It will have an advanced lift system allowing it to achieve minimum draft, thereby reducing hull resistance at the high speeds made possible by its quad waterjet setup. It also has an automated system to control the air cushion that adjusts dynamically to prevailing sea conditions.

Strategic Marine CEO, Chan Eng Yew, commented: “At Strategic Marine, we continuously innovate to stay ahead of the curve, working with industry-leading partners like Aircat Vessels to design and deliver cutting-edge solutions. Centus Marine’s selection of this vessel is a testament to their confidence in our ability to meet the stringent demands of the offshore sector.”
