The latest vessel, set for delivery in autumn 2023, has already been assigned on a long-term charter with Brittany Ferries. Stena RoRo, which has two vessels with charters already in place with the French ferry company, has two more options at AVIC.
Two of the three RoPax ferries for deployment with Brittany Ferries will operate on LNG. Larger than most existing RoPax ferries, the LNG-powered vessels will provide more sustainable operation, creating a new standard for emissions, cost, energy efficiency and performance, Stena RoRo said.
The 214.5m-long ships will have capacity for 1,000 passengers, 340 cabins and 2,750 lane-metres for vehicles and freight.

Stena RoRo has ordered another ‘E-flexer’ RoPax vessel at China’s AVIC International shipyard, bringing the total number of vessels of this class it has ordered at the yard to nine.
