Standby/rescue vessel finally delivered

Esvagt A/S, Denmark, has finally taken delivery of it standby vessel "Esvagt Bergen" (3,676 gt) from the Spanish shipyard Factoria Naval Marin, S.A. Delay had occured due to financial trouble of the building yard during construction.

The 80 m long and 17 m wide new building of Ulstein X-Bow® design is equipped with two Caterpillar main engines of type MaK 8M32C. The multirole emergency response and rescue vessel is classified by DNV under the notation 1A1 Tug Standby Vessel Fire Fighter I+ OILREC SF COMF-V(3) E0 DYNPOS-AUTR NAUT-OSV(A) CLEAN DESIGN HL(2.5) TMON.
