Spanish shipyard, Astilleros Gondan, recently launched the largest and fastest catamaran ferry to be built so far in Spain. Named Krilo Lux, the vessel was launched at the shipbuilder’s GRP Division in Castropol.

The 36m-long ferry, manufactured from glass reinforced plastic, has capacity for 440 passengers and a maximum speed of 34 knots. After sea trials have been completed this month, the Krilo Lux will be delivered to Croatian shipowner Krilo HR before starting a regular passenger service between Split and Dubrovnik in the Adriatic Sea.
