To be constructed to a Rolls-Royce Marine design, the 77.3m-long trawler is the second vessel to be built at Gondan for the Norwegian owner and follows the delivery of the technologically advanced freezing stern trawler, Sunderøy.
The new DNV-classed vessel will have a steel hull, an aluminium superstructure and will be built for operation in Arctic waters, the Barents Sea and Svalbard region. It will have accommodation for 29 people and is intended for cod and prawn fishing as well as processing. The vessel will have a modern fish processing unit, a meal plant, and a total capacity of 2,250m3.
Gondan Shipbuilders has shipbuilding facilities in Figueras, Barren and Castropol.

Gondan Shipbuilders of Spain is to build a new ice-class stern trawler for Prestfjord AS, a prominent Norwegian fishing company and the country‘s second largest fish producer.
