Second NMDC dredger ordered with Royal IHC

The new TSHD will feature a number of technologically enhanced innovations (Illustration: Royal IHC)

Royal IHC had delivered the 6,000cu.m dredger Tshd Arzana to this customer in 2018. The new TSHD now ordered will be delivered featuring a number of innovations including an enlarged hopper capacity of 8,000cu.m and a larger dredging depth of 45m. The design of the new dredger is a result of cooperation between IHC and NMDC aiming for a design which combines shallow draft and a large dredging depth with high manoeuvrability.
It is specifically designed for operation in high temperatures.

Dutch yard Royal IHC has signed a contract with the National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC), based in the United Arab Emirates, to build another trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD).
