"Scotian Express" delivered and departed from shipyard

"Scotian Express" left the shipyard for starting its maiden trip

Dutch ship operator Vroon took delivery of MV "Scotian Express", a 92,500 dwt post-panamax bulk carrier, built at Cosco Dalian Shipyard, China.

The vessel is the second in a series of four bulk carriers being built for Vroon in Dalian, with the remaining two vessels scheduled for delivery next year.

229.17m long and 38.05m wide "Scotian Express" has seven holds with a total loading capacity for grain of appr. 110,000cum. A MAN main engine of type 6S60MC is installed providing a speed of appr. 13 knots. The vessel flies the Gibraltar flag and has a fully Chinese crew. Ship management has been entrusted to Fleet Management Ltd. in Hong Kong.
