Schottel thrusters will propel New Zealand port tug

Singapore yard ASL Marine Shipyard has an order for a port tug from Lyttelton Port Company in Christchurch, New Zealand.

German-based global propulsion group Schottel said it has received an order for thrusters for the tug, which will be of a Robert Allan RApport 2500 design. The tug will be equipped with two Schottel rudder propellers of type SRP460 FP with an input power of 2,240 kW each.
