Samskip takes delivery of two new vessels

According to Jens Holger Nielsen, CEO, Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics, the 804TEU ships, “Samskip Innovator” and “Samskip Endeavour”, are already completed and will enter the Samskip vessel network shortly. The multimodal transport network of the shipping line spans all of Europe, the Baltic states, Russia and Central Asia.

The 7987 gt Damen 800 type vessels of appr. 140 m length and 21 m beam have a container capacity of 803 TEU whereof 206 can be stowed in holds and 597 on deck. Total number of holds amounts to three. For reefer containers the vessel is equipped with 120 plus on main deck, 30 in hold 2 and 30 in hold 3. Main engine is a 8,400 kW MaK 9M43 to perform a speed of 18 kts. Accomodation is offered for a crew of 15 persons.
