Royal Caribbean International begins construction of third Oasis class ship

Royal Caribbean International recently cut the first piece of steel for its third Oasis class ship at STX’s shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, marking the first construction milestone for the vessel.

At approximately 227,700gt, the Oasis 3 will be the world’s largest and most innovative cruise ship, the company said. Upon its delivery in mid-2016, Oasis 3 will joins its sister ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, which were introduced in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Details of the third Oasis class ship will be revealed in the coming months.
