The 180 m long and 28.1 m broad ferry, built at shipyard Hijos de J. Barreras, Vigo, is designed for carrying 1,500 passengers and offers 1,850 lanemetres for roro cargo and vehicles. Maximum speed amounts to 26 kts.
"Volcan del Teide" will be operated in Armas' services calling at Canary Islands, Madeira and Spanish as well as Portuguese homeland.
