PX106 design delivered

The Ulstein PX106 design

The vessel is 76.3m long, 16m wide and has a cargo deck area of 660m2. She has diesel electric propulsion and azimuth propellers, and can keep a speed of approximately 15 knots, according to Ulstein.
“CBO Atlântico”, which complies with the CLEAN Notation from the classification society Det Norske Veritas (DNV), left the yard on February 2nd and has entered into an eight-year contract with Brazilian state oil company Petrobras.
The second PX106 is to be delivered in the second quarter of 2012, and four PSVs of PX105 design will be delivered later in 2012 and during 2013.

The platform supply vessel (PSV) “CBO Atlântico” was recently delivered to her Brazil owner CBO (Companhia Brasileira de Offshore). She is the first of six Ulstein-designed X-BOW® vessels to be built in Brazil, and the very first of the PX106 design.
