"Polar Duke" in service

3D seismic vessel "Polar Duke"

"Polar Duke" was taken on charter in Stavanger and mobilised directly on prospect in less than ten days and is presently operating with 10 streamers of 6,000 meters length.

The new purpose built 102 m long vessel has a slim design that allows for high transit speed and focuses on maximum fuel efficiency. She has already proven very strong towing capacity of appr. 210 t, speed, sea capabilities and exceptional manoeuvring characteristics.

Dolphin Geophysical AS, Oslo, announced that after the christening of its seismic flagship "Polar Duke" at the GMC Shipyard, Stavanger, the 3D vessel has started her first project for TGS Nopec ASA in the Norwegian sector of the Barents Sea.
