Patrol vessel delivered to Albanian Coast Guard
The Oriku has been finalised at Pashaliman Shipyard in Vlorë, Albania, and the main purpose of the newbuilding will be to execute patrol duties as well as search and rescue missions in the territorial waters. With an overall length of 42.8m and a breadth of 7.11m, the Oriku has a draught of 3.77m. Two type 3516B TA-HD/D Caterpillar main engines with a total capacity of 4,200 kW at 1600 rpm provide power for a maximum speed of about 26 knots. Two controllable pitch propellers
and a 75 kW bow thruster ensure the ship’s manoeuvrability. Accommodation is offered for 16 persons. The newbuilding is equipped with a water/foam fire monitor. Furthermore, the Oriku is outfitted with a 7.5m-long and 30 knots-fast rigid inflatable boat (RIB)-tender with inboard waterjet propulsion.
