Ovation of the Seas delivered
The Ovation of the Seas is the third vessel of the Quantum class
The third ship of the Quantum class, Ovation of the Seas can accommodate 4,180 guests in 2,090 cabins. Its crew numbers about 1,550.
The vessel sets new standards in terms of eco-friendliness, according to Meyer Werft. It features highly energy-efficient systems, optimised hydrodynamics, heat recovery, an effective underwater paint coating, a state-of-the-art exhaust gas treatment plant (hybrid scrubber) as well as energy-saving LED lighting systems.
The same high standards apply to shipboard entertainment. The Two70° lounge stretches from Deck 4 to 6 and offers a 270° panoramic view of the sea. On Deck 17, the North Star glass gondola takes guests to a height of 90m above sea level, where they can enjoy a 360° panoramic view. On Deck 17 aft, the RipCord simulates parachuting at sea both for beginners or seasoned parachuters. Surf aficionados can enjoy the FlowRider surf simulator on Deck 16.
Seaplex, billed as "the largest indoor activity area at sea", offers entertainment including bumper cars, roller skating, a competition-size basketball court as well as a circus school.
On board Quantum-class ships, the traditional main restaurant has been replaced by "dynamic dining" in which the guests rotate among five different restaurants, which are included in the cruise rate and offer a wide culinary variety. There are18 restaurants on board in all.
