Option agreement for eight FSRUs

Execelerate Energy’s “Exquisite” has a capacity of 150,900m3

The initial options are for 294m-long and 46m-wide FSRUs with an LNG-capacity of 173,400m3.They are expected to be capable of a baseload send-out capacity of 800 MMcf/d with peaking capacity in excess of 950 MMcf/d.

Houston-based Excelerate Energy has announced it had entered into a shipbuilding option agreement with Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME), South Korea, for the delivery of up to eight floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) between early 2015 and 2017.
