Newbuilt shuttle tankers for the Roncador field

The order was placed via Norwegian shipowner Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers AS (Knutsen). They will be delivered in 2020. Vessel sizes were not revealed in an announcement by Equinor. The shuttle tankers are intended for Brazil’s Roncador
field, the third largest producing field in Brazil, in which Equinor recently acquired 25% interest. The tankers will be used to transfer the crude to conventional tankers, and the crude will then be marketed around the world.
