The debut Marine Interiors Cruise & Ferry Global Expo, due to be held in Hamburg in September, comes at an auspicious time for the cruise industry with a record order book numbering 118 ships representing capital investment of more than USD 69 billion. The show will focus on interior design, equipment and technology in the cruise sector while ‘design’ will be the main theme at two conference sessions where speakers from across the industry including new construction, refits, architecture and art curators will share their views.
“Creating spaces which evoke a sense of brand identity is key for cruise lines to present their identity to potential cruise passengers and, in the age of social media technology, it is important for brands to create designs which encourage passengers to share their experience across media platforms,” the organisers said.
The new show will be held in every odd year and this time will take place at the same time as the Seatrade Europe Cruise and River Cruise Convention between September 11th and 13th.
