New Dutch-built dredger delivered to IRClass

The Shanti Sagar 17 is built in Europe and classed by IRClass

The vessel is the first of two IHC Beagle® 8 TSHDs, which have a deadweight capacity of 12,250dwt. Delivery of the second dredger, Shanti Sagar 18, is imminent. The Shanti Sagar 17 will fly the St. Vincent and Grenadines flag.
“We sincerely appreciate the contribution and efforts of Indian Register of Shipping which led to the successful construction of our new vessel Shanti Sagar 17,” declared Colonel Vinod George (Retd), COO, Dredging and Reclamation, Adani Group. “It is their attention to detail and prompt responses which culminated into the success of this project.”
IRClass is an independent classification society and a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).

The 8,000m³ trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Shanti Sagar 17, the largest dredger to be built in Europe classed by the Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass), has been delivered by Royal IHC’s Krimpen aan den IJssel shipyard in the Netherlands to Indian owners Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited.
