New dedicated HVAC unit established

The new set-up, which will be independent from equipment manufacturers, will specialise in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC) in the maritime market, a sector in which the company has already established a sound track record. The unit will work closely with ship operators on system design, 3D modelling, and installations for newbuildings, retrofits and conversions.
The company has previously worked on projects in the defence and security sector, including the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier and type-26 frigate for the UK Ministry of Defence. Meanwhile, projects completed in the cruise sector include the QM2 and, more recently, the Celebrity Edge, the first in a new class of cruise ships.
Marine HVAC Design will be based at Knud E. Hansen’s headquarters in Elsinore, Denmark.

A new dedicated business unit, Marine HVAC Design, has been established by the Danish naval architecture company Knud E. Hansen.
