Naming ceremony at Geoje Island

The vessels have been chartered by Angola LNG Supply Services and will ship the LNG produced by Angola LNG Ltd.  
"Lobito" and "Cubal" with a length of 285m have a cargo capacity of 160,276m3. They are jointly owned by NYK LNG (Atlantic) (33%), Mitsui (34%), and Teekay (33%). "Lobito was completed on October 31, and "Cubal" is scheduled to be by January 12, 2012. The vessels are the third and forth of four sister vessels, following the first two sisters, "Soyo" and "Malanje", which were completed in August and September. These four vessels will be used for shipments of LNG from Angola to the global market under 20-year time charters.

A naming ceremony was recently held at the Geoje Island shipyard of Samsung Heavy Industries, Ltd. in Korea for two 100,800 gt LNG vessels being built for joint owners NYK LNG (Atlantic) Ltd., London, a wholly owned subsidiary of NYK; Mitsui & Co. Ltd., Tokyo; and Teekay Corporation, Vancouver.
