Nakilat and Damen to join forces

The shipyard is designed to build commercial, naval and coastguard vessels as well as luxury yachts. the operation of the new yard is as per Nakilat expected to start in 2010.

Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd. (Nakilat), Doha, and Damen Shipyards Group, based in Gorinchem, Netherlands, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to form a joint venture to manage a new shipyard in the port of Ras Laffan.
