N-KOM wins first FSRU drydocking project

The 150,900m3 FSRU Exquisite is a siter vessel of Excelerate

This will be the first FSRU project to be undertaken at N-KOM’s Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma facility and follows the setting up of a joint venture between Nakilat and Excelerate Energy USA last year.
Repair and upgrade of the Excelerate will include various modifications and the retrofitting of new systems, including the installation of a ballast water treatment system.
Following the joint venture set-up, N-KOM acquired a 55% interest in the 150,900m3 FSRU Exquisite which is deployed at the Engro Elengy terminal in Pakistan’s Port Qasim. The unit recently completed its 200th successful ship-to-ship transfer at the terminal.

US-based Excelerate Energy has chosen the Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM) facility in Qatar for the repair and upgrade of its 138,000m³ floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), Excelerate.
