More tugs for Kotug

F.l.t.r.: Pieter de Vries, Kees Klinkenberg, christening lady Mrs. Diny Aalberts, Jenske Gerrits, Johan Wiersma, Dirk Verschoor (Crew "SD Seahorse")

These last two tugboats of a series of four, with a bollard pull of 65 ton, are sister ships of “SD Shark” and “SD Stingray”, which were added to the Rotterdam fleet and christened last summer.
Each tug is driven by two Caterpillar 3516 main engines with 2x1,920 kW. Maximum speed amounts to 14.8 knots. Manoeuvrability is reached by two Schottel SRP 1515 CP rudderpropellers for each vessel. The newbuildings are classified by Bureau Veritas.

Kotug International B.V. with towing services in the ports of Rotterdam, Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Le Havre has christened "SD Seal" and "SD Seahorse" which had been delivered from Turkish shipyard Eregli last year.
