Med Marine signs newbuilding contract with British tug operator

The tug is to be built at Med Marine’s group-owned Ereğli Shipyard

The vessel will be 14m long and was developed by Tomay Ship Design for operations in the Humber Estuary in north England. It will have two Volvo Penta D13 main engines with a total output of 736 kW. The vessel will be built at Med Marine’s group-owned Eregli Shipyard and delivery is set for October 2019. Med Marine has a very busy new building programme for 2019 consisting of various types of Robert Allan design ASD/TS tugs, Camarc designed pilot boats and mooring boats.

Turkish tug operator and shipbuilder Med Marine said it has signed a newbuilding contract for a 14m line handling boat with British customer Briggs Marine and Environmental Services.
