Management changes

ABS, Houston, announced the appointment of Todd Grove to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in a move that further underscores the strategic alignment of the classification society’s technology resources and Rule development initiatives with the operating divisions. Todd Grove will report to ABS President and COO Christopher J. Wiernicki and be based in the society’s headquarters in Houston.

John McDonald, currently Regional Vice President, Northern Europe and Africa, will succeed Todd Grove as President and COO of the ABS Europe Division. McDonald’s appointment will provide a seamless transition for the organization’s European business interests.

John Gallagher, currently Regional Vice President, North America, will transfer to London and assume the position of Regional Vice President, Northern Europe.

Thomas Blenk, currently Vice President of Global Operations, ABS Nautical Systems (NS) Division, will transfer to New York City and replace John Gallagher as Regional Vice President, North America.

Demetri Stroubakis, currently Regional Vice President, Eastern Europe, will transfer to Houston and replace Thomas Blenk as Senior Vice President of Global Operations, ABS NS Division. 

Vassilios Kroustallis, currently Country Manager for Greece, will replace Demetri Stroubakis as Regional Vice President, Eastern Europe.

Christos Nomikos, currently Principal Surveyor for Greece, will replace Vassilios Kroustallis as County Manager for Greece. 

These management changes are effective 1 February.
