MacGregor wins USD 11 million crane order

Cargo-handling specialist and Cargotec subsidiary, MacGregor, is to provide cranes with condition monitoring and predictive maintenance systems for installation on four 62,000dwt general cargo vessels to be built at an unspecified shipyard in Asia. The contract is worth USD 11 million, booked into Cargotec’s second-quarter order intake, and crane deliveries will span the period from March to December next year.

Magnus Sjöberg, senior vice president of MacGregor’s Merchant Solutions Division, commented: “We are very pleased that our customer has trusted our quality, knowledge and expertise during this tough market situation through placing this significant contract with us.”
