Danish marine architect Knud E. Hansen has announced a design for a approx. 109m-long river cruise vessel especially for the U.S. market. It would be used for cruises with of a range up to 14 days with maximum 220 passengers.

The design of the vessel is based on green technology and the vessel can use eco-friendly fuel, while ships systems are designed for zero discharge. The propulsion and manoeuvring system comprise two stern azimuth electric thruster units in separate compartments at the stern and one pump jet for improved manoeuvrability in a bow compartment. The machinery arrangement is a fuel-electric hybrid system, comprising four high-speed diesel generator sets combined with a battery storage system, providing propulsion power and all remaining electrical load requirements.
