Italian-built yacht to have Rolls-Royce propulsion and electric power

The owner of the ice-class super yacht will be able to cruise in luxury over the warm waters of the Caribbean as well as the freezing conditions to north and south. Naval architecture has been carried out by Italian firm Arrabito Naval Architects while Venice-based Team for Design has been responsible for the vessel’s interior and exterior design.
The King Shark will have a range of 6,000 nautical miles at 12 knots, with a top speed of 17 knots. Its Rolls-Royce Save Cube system allows the engines to run at variable speeds with optimal performance in different operating conditions. The company is also providing two Azipull AZP085 thrusters which, it is claimed, ensure a combination of low drag and high pulling power. This, in turn, results in high propulsive efficiency, and good seakeeping and manoeuvring capabilities. The dynamic positioning system will hold the vessel in position if required, countering the effects of currents, wind and waves.
